The airline Binter Canary incorporates its first ATR-600 aircraft to its fleet

The Spanish carrier Binter today received in Toulouse (France) the first of the twelve new ATR-600 aircraft that will be included in the next three years of the fleet operating in the inter-connections and the Canary Islands They will give relief to as many ATR-500.

For reception of the ship, Binter president, Pedro Agustin del Castillo, and his vice president, Rodolfo Nunez, have been moving with the rest of the executive committee of the Canary airline to the headquarters of the Italian-French consortium ATR aircraft in Toulouse accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Infrastructure and Transport of the Canaries Government, Alexis Gonzalez.

The new aircraft have been ordered through two different contracts were signed in 2014 and early 2015 and will allow the incorporation of gradual form of aircraft to the fleet.

This fleet renewal operation involve an investment effort of about 250 million euros, which, according to Pedro Agustin del Castillo, faced “in order to maintain and even improve the quality standards in the inter-island transport and international routes Binter operated with these aircraft”, thus meeting its “commitment” to the Canary Islands.
